SDSN Turkey Director Bahar Özay in AGU Ways course
Every year, AGU starts the mandatory GLB course set (“Global Challenges”) focused on Global Challenges and UN SDGs with introductory sessions by SDSN-Turkey Director Bahar Özay. Ms. Özay presents and discusses the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with all AGU students and stakeholders willing to attend.
During the session titled "UN Global Targets for Sustainable Development" Ms. Özay underlines the importance of global targets and what young people can do about them.
In all GLB courses across all AGU programs, students engage in interactive studies that increase their awareness of global challenges and encourage them to find solutions to them.
"SDSN Youth’s mission is to empower youth globally, to create sustainable solutions. Our initiatives follow a three-step theory of change - education (awareness), collaboration (communities, connections), and supporting innovation; tackling key domain areas such as schools, university campuses, cities, and entrepreneurship."
Goals
Covering six continents, the SDSN Networks program has now gathered the knowledge and training capacity of 800 member institutions into a network. The SDSN global network aims to take the world's top problems by hand and work together. The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Executive Committee has successfully approved Abdullah Gül University's membership in this network and a SDSN-Youth AGU Student Hub was established.
